Prepare to support the delivery of athletics sessions across a range of events with an Assistant Coach qualification. You’ll be able to support a qualified coach to deliver the basic and underpinning principles of athleticism, and develop skills across running, jumping and throwing.
Gain the knowledge and practical skills to plan, lead and evaluate athletics sessions, supporting athletes to develop skills across running, jumping and throwing.
Develop the skills to coach runners aged 12+ across road, trail, cross country and other off-track environments, helping them to improve fitness and achieve their goals.
Achieve a recognised Leadership in Running Fitness qualification and learn how to safely lead warm-ups, cool-downs, and running sessions for mixed-ability groups.

The Sight Loss Awareness and Guide Running workshop is designed to enable people to support visually impaired (VI) people to run by acting as a guide runner and promoting VI friendly athletics and running opportunities.
